  1. 1996
    Showa Marutsutsu Co., Ltd., the parent company of PacPlus, signed a contract with IPN B.V. (the Netherlands) on a patent license of "Clean Clic System®" and started the flexible packaging business.
  2. 2000
    The professional-use hair care product using "Clean Clic System®" won the World Star Packaging Award.
  3. 2001
    Alkali/acid resistant spouted pouches launched for perm solutions.
  4. 2002
    Debut of "MP connector" for airless pouches
    Debut of Alcohol-resistant pouches
  5. 2003
    Spouted pouch "Grip shape®" won the Good Packaging Award in the Japan Packaging Contest.
  6. 2004
    The launch of special spouted pouches for hair colour developers. They can release excess gas and water vapour equally to keep the concentrations of the contents constant during usage.
  7. 2008
    The solvent resistant spouted pouches debuted in the form of ink cartridges for industrial inkjet printers.
  8. 2010
    The flexible packaging business split-off from Showa Marutsutsu as a separate company named PacPlus Co.,Ltd. (100% owned by Showa Marutsutsu Co., Ltd.)
    Headquartered in Higashi-tenma, Osaka with Tokyo sales office at Chuo-ku, Tokyo.
  9. 2011
    The Osaka plant moved to a new site in Kano-cho, Higashi-Osaka city.
    A new attaching/detaching mechanism "Smart Screw" for Clean Clic® Dispenser was developed.
  10. 2012
    The alcohol sanitizer using Clean Clic® trigger spray dispenser with "Smart Screw" received a prize of JAPAN STAR at Japan Packaging Contest.
  11. 2013
    The alcohol sanitizer using Clean Clic® trigger spray system with "Smart Screw" won the World Star Packaging Award.
  12. 2014
    The head office moved to Tenma, Kita-ku, Osaka City due to business expansion.
    Debut of "SST-5" spouts. The special nozzle shape of SST-5 enabled liquid drip-prevention and flow-rate regulation. Suitable also for viscous liquids such as hair colour cream developers.
  13. 2016
    The hair care product using "Clean Clic System®" won the Good Packaging/Packaging Idea Award in the Japan Packaging Contest.
    A special laminated film was developed for hair dye packages with strong alkali resistance.
